Holt Elementary School recently turned magical as a cast of more than 60 students performed in the musical Mary Poppins Jr.
Directed by Cindy Szymanski, David Bateman and Anna Davis, parents and community members watched as young thespians mirrored Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke and sang out “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee” and “Let’s Go Fly a Kite.” With costumes and props provided by Mueller Park Junior High School and a cast of behind-the-scene supporters who built, painted and moved sets, designed t-shirts, worked soundboards and illuminated the stage, the production was “Practically Perfect!”

Happy National Teacher Day. To every Davis teacher—thank you for inspiring, leading and making a difference every day. #ThankATeacher #Every1DSD

Aerospace futures are taking flight.
Congratulations to the 36 Davis School District students who graduated from the Utah Aerospace Pathways (UAP) program — the largest group of graduates from any district this year.
Held at Viewmont High, this year’s UAP graduation celebrated students from across Utah who completed hands-on training to earn their UAP Certificate of Recognition and begin careers in one of the state’s most exciting industries.
The UAP program is a statewide partnership between education, industry and government that gives students the opportunity to train for high-skill, high-paying jobs in aerospace — from composite technicians and machinists to inspectors and assemblers.
Davis School District is proud to partner in this program alongside organizations like Albany Engineered Composites, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Hexcel, KIHOMAC, Davis Technical College, Utah Manufacturers Association and many more.
