Still Water Elementary School has revealed its official logo, marking an exciting milestone as the school prepares to open for the 2026-27 school year in Syracuse.
Selected through a community vote, the otter was chosen as the school’s mascot, symbolizing curiosity, playfulness and connection. The newly unveiled logo reflects those qualities while representing the welcoming and student-centered environment Still Water Elementary aims to create.
Inspired by the school’s architecture and the surrounding Syracuse landscape, the logo’s color palette reflects the environment students will experience each day. Drawn directly from the building’s design and natural surroundings, the colors work together to create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The school’s primary color, copper, anchors the design, while blue and green serve as secondary colors, representing growth and learning. Brown and cream are used as accent colors, adding balance and depth to the overall palette.
Still Water Elementary is designed to foster a strong sense of belonging, with a focus on building a tight-knit community supported by dedicated educators and districtwide resources. The school will also implement a house system to further strengthen connections among students and staff.
The school is set to open its doors to students in fall 2026, creating a place where learning, growth and community come together.
