Staff members working down at the Salvation Army

Administrators, district leaders and principals from Davis School District recently volunteered at the Salvation Army warehouse in Ogden as part of the annual Santa’s Service Project. Teams spent part of the day sorting toys, clothes and school supplies and preparing distribution spaces to help ensure local families have what they need for a meaningful holiday season.

Corps Officer Monica of the Salvation Army Ogden branch said the district’s support makes an enormous difference.

“It would literally take me weeks to do alone what everyone accomplished in 45 minutes,” she said. “The help is truly invaluable during such a demanding preparation period.”

The service project continues a strong partnership between the Salvation Army and Davis School District.

“This has become a passion project for our district leaders,” Davis Education Foundation Student Advocacy Coordinator Kristen Buchi said. “The Salvation Army cannot run these programs without community support, and district leaders step up each year to help make Christmas brighter for our kids.”

The day of service underscores the district’s commitment to supporting families and strengthening the community—especially during the holiday season.
