Ty Ross

Ty Ross, a valued member of the Davis School District Information Technology Department, received the Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center (PARC) Mission Moment Award recently for his exceptional contributions, perseverance and positive influence on his fellow team members.

Ross, the Davis School District ADA website auditor and district photo administrator, contributes to software development and supports both developers and webmasters in implementing web standards and ensuring accessibility compliance.

His career with the district began through the Pathways to Careers internship program in May 2013, leading to his official hire in Jan. 2014. With assistance from the Utah Center for Assistive Technology (UCAT), Ross was provided with a specialized keyboard that enables him to perform his duties independently and effectively. UCAT is a state resource center that helps individuals with disabilities access technology tools that promote independence and workplace accessibility.

Throughout his career, Ross has consistently met or exceeded quality standards in his annual evaluations and is frequently recognized for his determination, problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity. His friendly demeanor and collaborative spirit make him a respected and reliable teammate across the department.

During the award presentation, PARC program assistant/ job coach Kristen Hodge shared her admiration.

“I haven’t been working with Tyler very long, but I’m really grateful to be working with him,” Hodge said. “You have impressed me — your willingness to take on new tasks and your communication when you need help. You’re able to reach out on your own. I just think you’re amazing, and so when they asked me who we would recommend for this award, I was like, ‘Ty for sure’.”
