At Davis Adult Education, every ESOL student begins with an entry assessment—and then tests again every 40 hours of class attendance. These regular checkpoints help us measure real learning in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and they show how effectively our students are progressing through each language level.
This year, our evening ESOL classes earned the highest level-gain percentage in the entire program. That means their students demonstrated the strongest growth over time—proof of consistent effort, excellent teaching, and real learning happening every night.
We’re proud of the work happening in these classrooms and the momentum our students are building at DAE.
