Davis Adult Education is opening doors for English Language Learners (ELL) to launch rewarding careers in healthcare through its Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. Sponsored by Proxima and Certified Nursing Centers, this unique course is designed to prepare ELL students to work as CNAs upon completion, combining language development with hands-on nursing skills training.
Qualifying students will receive a full tuition scholarship, including all required supplies, making the program financially accessible. In addition, students will gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to provide compassionate care in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings.
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have U.S. work authorization by the end of the course and meet the academic benchmark of scoring at level ABE 3 or higher on the CASAS assessment. This requirement ensures students have the English proficiency and academic foundation needed to succeed in a fast-paced medical environment.
With the growing demand for healthcare professionals, this CNA program offers ELL students a pathway to stable employment, career advancement, and service in a field that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.
Registration will take place on August 18 and 19 at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Seats are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
